I am definitely getting through all of Frieda McFadden's books this year. I gave myself a goal of reading one book a month and I have already smashed that goal, having read 25 books!.
I still have Kindle Unlimited and took my Kindle on holiday with us. Kindles are perfect for getaways, less weight and more space.
I read two books while at Benidorm, the first one was The Locked Door - Frieda McFadden
Some doors are locked for a reason…
While eleven-year-old Nora Davis was up in her bedroom doing homework, she had no idea her father was killing women in the basement.
Until the day the police arrived at their front door.
Decades later, Nora’s father is spending his life behind bars, and Nora is a successful surgeon with a quiet, solitary existence. Nobody knows her father was a notorious serial killer. And she intends to keep it that way.
Then Nora discovers one of her young female patients has been murdered. In the same unique and horrific manner that her father used to kill his victims.
Somebody knows who Nora is. Somebody wants her to take the fall for this unthinkable crime. But she’s not a killer like her father. The police can’t pin anything on her.
As long as they don’t look in her basement.
I enjoyed this one and looked forward to reading another chapter, I always gauge a book by how much I'm eager to get another 5 minutes of reading it, does anyone else do that?.
Reminded me of a 90s horror film. I did guess the ending, which I haven't done so far with Freida's books, but would definitely recommend it if you are into thrillers and a good old horror plot :)
