If a book is doing its rounds on TikTok, it's hard not to want to pick it up and see what all the fuss is about. The famous Colleen Hoover who wrote the best book ever - It Ends with Us - has come together with Tarryn Fisher and brought us Never Never.
"TikTok made me do it", a lot of readers have been saying so I chose it for my next read...
Charlie Wynwood and Silas Nash have been best friends since they could walk. They've been in love since the age of fourteen. But as of this morning...they are complete strangers. Their first kiss, their first fight, the moment they fell in love...every memory has vanished. Now Charlie and Silas must work together to uncover the truth about what happened to them and why.
But the more they learn about the couple they used to be...the more they question why they were ever together to begin with. Forgetting is terrifying, but remembering may be worse.
The story had me right from the first few pages. They both lose their memory and you really do get gripped in their characters and what is going to happen next, are they going to remember or is it ging to get worse.
Right up to the last chapter i was still hooked and then it ended for me, in the strangest way.
I dont quite get the ending and have read the last chapter a few times, I am still quite confused.
If you have read this one and understand then please do enlighten me, such a disappointing ending after such a brilliant storyline at the beginning.
Even though this book sounds like the kind of "ehh" ending I'm not crazy about, I still want to read it. I love the mystery of it all!
ReplyDeleteI really want to give this one a read. I love the premise, and the way you described the ending has me intrigued. I feel like it's one of those "thinky" endings that will keep me pondering for a while.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read this yet. But now I want to read it, you made it interesting for me.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds so scary! I cannot imagine loosing my memory and needing to piece my life back together.
ReplyDeleteAnother book that I haven't read yet. It sounds like something I would really enjoy reading (even if the ending is very confusing!)
ReplyDeleteI’ve heard so much about Never Never! Your review makes me want to pick it up. I love how you describe the plot without giving too much away. It sounds like the perfect mix of mystery and romance!
ReplyDeleteThis isn't a book that I have come across. It sounds like it would be an interesting read. It's a shame that the end was confusing.
ReplyDeleteI have not heard of this book, but even from the first few lines I am intrigued and want to know about their story of why they were in love
ReplyDeleteI've read a lot of Colleen Hoover books including this one but I already forgot everything that I read from this book. LOL. I may have to read it again. -Lynndee
ReplyDeleteThis seems like a very good read. I noticed you're reading from a Kindle, I never owned one. I might be buying my first one this week, I am so excited about it.
ReplyDeleteI've enjoyed the Colleen Hoover books that I've read so I might need to give this one a try. That's a shame that it ended in the strangest way x
ReplyDeleteI totally get your frustration! The ending left me puzzled too. It felt like it was trying to be too ambiguous.
