Being a mum sometimes feels like living in an endless loop of laundry. Just when you think you have reached the bottom of the wash basket, a muddy school jumper or a set of pyjamas magically appears. Add in PE kits, towels, and the occasional swim stuff, the washing machine rarely gets a day off.
As a family that suffers from eczema and sensitive skin, I have had to be extra careful about what goes into that machine. For years, I stuck to the same brands, worried that switching might trigger another flare-up, but really wanting to find an alternative that would be gentle on the children's skin and kind to my bank balance!
I have been testing out The Green Company’s Eco natural laundry detergent and their matching Fabric Conditioner GreenSheets, and I think I am hooked!. It really is amazing how such a small change can make such a big difference.
why we love greensheets for sensitive skin
These plant-powered, non-bio eco laundry detergent sheets are gentle yet powerful, and they have transformed the way I do laundry. Made with zero toxic chemicals, they are super kind to skin and kind to the environment. Each pre-measured sheet dissolves in seconds, leaving no mess, no bulky bottles, and no wasted water. They are ultra-lightweight and easy to store, perfect for a busy household like ours.
I even packed a sheet for my recent trip to Spain, as they are hand-wash friendly! Being able to get a wash load done while travelling was such a win, no leaking bottles, just clean clothes that smell amazing, by the way!
a small switch that makes a big difference
The fabric conditioner has been another game-changer. They leave our laundry soft and fresh without any synthetic fragrances or hidden nasties. Together, they make the perfect eco-friendly laundry duo for families like mine who want to reduce waste and protect delicate skin.
So yes, the wash basket may never truly be empty, the joys of children, right?, But at least now I know every load is doing a little bit of good, for my family and for the planet.
If you are looking to make small, sustainable changes and want to make your laundry routine greener, check out the full GreenSheets range from The Green Company :)

This was so helpful. I’m adding it to my shopping list. My best friend is constant looking for linens that aren’t eco friendly and safe for her skin. She’ll love it.
ReplyDeleteI will have to check out Green Sheets, they sound fab and I am always looking for any eco friendly changes that I can make to our routine.
ReplyDeleteI use these and love them, I love how they are eco friendly and take up such little space as opposed to other washing products. They always clean well as well
ReplyDeleteThese sound great! I really need to switch to something more eco friendly. Especially considering the amount of washing we do! The laundry basket is never empty.

When I previous used laundry sheets, I did not have the best time. These sound much better - I might have to give it a go.
ReplyDeleteIf they're green, I am buying them especially since the're for sensitive skin, which I have. I will try to get them from Amazon.
ReplyDeleteI am a huge fan of lavender and I must look up the fabric conditioner sheets
ReplyDeleteWe actually just started using these, and we love them. I hope more people find them. They're very effective and so much better for the environment.
ReplyDeleteThese sound perfect for us. We stop using sheets due to sensitivity, would be nice to start using them again.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad I came across your blog post, my son has eczema really bad, and we think it might be our laundry products. I will definitely be looking into this! Thank you!
