There is something about that first tiny bit of sunshine in the UK that just lifts everything. The big coats get pushed to the back of the wardrobe, the big scarves are no longer essential, and suddenly we can get out in just a cardigan without checking the weather app five times first!. Spring really does have a way of refreshing not just the seasons, but our wardrobes.
I don’t know about you, but I absolutely love a wardrobe refresh every season. Any excuse to pick up a few new pieces and I’m there. I have been obsessed with wide leg trousers recently, they are simple, flattering and super comfy.
Working from home means I have full freedom over what I wear each day. Some days, it’s a full on pyjama work day :) , but other days I love getting properly ready. Doing my hair, putting on a nice outfit and heading out for a long walk before I start work genuinely sets me up for such a productive work day. It’s amazing what getting ready can do for your mindset.
I’ve been browsing the Cotton Traders trousers collection and love their latest range. Whether you are after work ready tailoring, relaxed everyday pieces or something you can dress up and down, there’s such a good mix to choose from on their site.
I’m really loving the pull on denim trousers. Fun fact, I used to hate denim and jeans when I was a teen. I avoided them at all costs! Now I’m completely obsessed. There’s something about finding the right fit and fabric that changes everything when it comes to clothes.
These trousers are super soft and honestly go with pretty much everything. They are such a staple pair for spring and summer. For an easy daytime look, I’d pair them with most T-shirts and tops, especially the Pasta Printed Short Sleeve Graphic Print T-Shirt, it adds a fun little pop of personality while still feeling effortless and wearable. It’s one of those pieces that makes a simple outfit feel styled without even trying.
When the sun is shining, and it’s finally time to ditch the boots, I’d style them with the Core Comfort Sandals, i chose Black as they will go with everything. They are perfect for those brighter spring days when you just want to feel light and comfortable but still pulled together. I love getting my toes out as soon as there’s a hint of warmth, and these sandals work so well with the relaxed fit of the trousers. And of course, if you’re working from home like me, a nice comfy pair of slippers does the job just as well! :)
Add a cardigan for those cooler mornings, swap trainers for Sandals when the temperature rises, or layer with a light jacket if you are heading out and start enjoying the warmer weather.
If you are thinking about a spring wardrobe refresh, I’d definitely recommend having a look at Cotton Traders’ latest trousers collection.
