Five suncreams down this summer and we have found after trialling out quite a few, we have found some of our favourites and ones we will continue to use. We have had such a lovely summer, in the UK and also in other countries, and we have found our go to suncreams that have kept us protected everywhere we have been.
NIVEA KIDS ROLL & PROTECT SPF 50
This is one for the children and one we love. Easy for the kids to use themselves. SPF 50 and immediate protection against UV and UVB rays, sunburns and long term skin damage. Also the formula is extra water resistant - which is what we look for as we all love a water park :)
- It can stain some whites, so be a little wary of this when you are applying it .
BONDI SANDS FACE SUNCREAM SPF 50
OH.MY.GOD - this is my holy grail and will never sway from it ever. I only started using this one this summer after seeing it around and everyone raving about it. Now I always break out with face sun cream, no matter what I do, and it does bother me , especially when I am on holiday and want some nice family photos.
I got not one single spot using this all summer. It goes on perfectly, smooth and feels amazing on the skin, not thick or suncream like at all.
Moisturising and UVA and UVB protection , water resistant, gives 72 hours of hydration with its added aloe vera and vitamin E ingredients.
We all used this on our faces and it was incredible!.
GARNIER OVER THE MAKE UP SUNCREAM MIST SPF 50
This is one I would normally use on my face as it gives the least break outs and it is a great one for quick re applying as its a mist spray which can be popped in your bag for days out, but on holiday I come up with a great idea, if I do say so myself, to use this one for our hair partings.
A mother of three girls and sun burn partings are the worst aren't they?, then the flaking afterwards, so I used this one to spray our partings and it did the trick. Didn't leave our hair greasy like a normal sun cream would as it is super light, spray and you are away.
It is SPF 50, protects from UVA and UVB , it does have hylaurinc acid in it which is a great one for the face and this would be my second choice after the Bondi Sands face suncream :)
SOLAIT KIDS SENSITIVE SUN CREAM SPF 50
Last minute purchase as we had booked for Turkey and realised how hot it was, wasn't sure if we had enough sun cream and I picked this one up as its quite a big bottle at 200ML and really affordable. UVA and UVB , extra water resistant, great for sensitive skin ,ticked all the boxes and we used the whole thing up on our week holiday and would highly recommend this one for a family.
- This one stained my black bag, which I am not sure will come out, but it didn't stain any clothes ( will update the bag situation when I have stuck it in the wash :) )
