SIMPLE THINGS I WILL BE DOING WITH THE CHILDREN THIS SPRING

After the longest winter ever, or so it seems and honestly feeling like it will never end, Spring is definitely on its way. The sun has been trying to shine through a lot more and we are so excited for it!. We bought our first bunch of daffodils over the weekend and can not wait for some warmer days.

Half term is also around the corner and I wanted to share some simple things the kids and I will be doing this spring to get us outside in the fresh air more :)

MUDDY WALKS

We love a walk, especially a muddy one. You can't beat a muddy walk, wellies on with a cup of coffee in tow while the kids run wild in a local national trust park. It is the best feeling ever and releases all those happy endorphins, if you dont believe me, try it!.

BIKE & SCOOTER RIDES

I have got the children's bikes and scooters at the ready for some peddling. They are always asking to go out on them but they are never accessible so no excuses now.

EASTER EGG HUNTS

It's the season of all the chocolate eggs and easter hunts right?. We do an easter egg hunt in the garden and also one in the house where I pop clues around the home for the children to follow. They look forward to this every Spring.

BAKING

Definitely the time to get your bake on and you can't go wrong with brownies. They are so easy to make. My Creme egg chocolate brownies are 10/10, really easy to make and the perfect Easter treat.

ENJOYING THE GARDEN

With our house move cancellation happening last month, I want to do a few little home improvements to the house while we are still here and that is sorting out the garden so we can enjoy it. Have afternoon play dates outside and really soak up the fresh air.

PLANTING NEW FLOWERS

We bought our first bunch of daffodils the other week and would love the garden to have some colour and life to it. The girls have loved planting flowers and growing stuff over the years so really looking forward to this one :)

MILKSHAKE TRIPS

There are a few places to go and get milkshakes locally here. Shakes on the rocks and The little cowshed which are fresh milkshake vending machines and really delicious. Affordable and out in the countryside where you can also enjoy a pony ride, look at the sheep and get the little ones off the ipads for a bit!.

If you have any other simple things to do with the children this spring, pop them in the comments and share them with everyone :)
