THINGS TO DO IN AND AROUND STAFFORDSHIRE THIS EASTER

Not long before half term hits our house and we have been busy planning some fun trips out in between work, which can sometimes get a little stressful but I find if you get your calendar planned out ahead then there is little room for error, i type that as I touch my head and cross my fingers and toes :)

I have found some lovely things going on in and around Staffordshire and Cheshire this half term for the kiddies if you are local to the area or fancy planning a day trip somewhere new.

Castaway's Easter EGGstravaganza

Running from March 29th to April 5th, join the best easter event this half term in Congleton. On arrival, you receive your Easter passport with an Easter egg hunt included and get to meet endless characters including Peter Rabbit and Alice in Wonderland.

Price varies and booking is essential - you can book here

Hanley Park

Hanley Park always has free fun going on in the holidays. They haven't advertised what yet, but I will update you as soon as I know :)

Peak Wildlife Park

For all the Bluey and Bingo fans, book a magical day out at the Peak Wildlife Park in Leek and get to meet the siblings!. So many animals to see including polar bears!. With a picnic area to keep the cost down and a massive outdoor play park, there is so much to do here and the perfect family day out.

Booking is required and entrance prices vary.

Easter Bunny Fun In The Mansion

Hop along to the Mansion in Cheshire between the 29th of March and the 14th of April for a family-friendly trail through the staterooms and servants’ quarters, with hands-on fun games and dressing up. Find the Easter eggs for the Easter bunny and collect your chocolate reward. (between 29th March and the 1st of April rewards only)

Check the opening times and prices before visiting.

Pony Rides & Milkshake Treat

Shakes on the Rocks has pony rides on Wednesday 3rd of April from 10-11am. The rides are £5. They start at Shakes on the Rocks down towards the farm yard and back up again, each child will also get a small Easter egg. Then grab yourself one of their delicious milkshakes, they have special limited edition ones, which I can't wait to see the menu.

The age limit is 2-12 years, pop them a message to see what availability they have :)

Tittesworth Easter trail

The Easter Bunny has left a trail of eggs around the Foster's Trail at Tittesworth Water. Follow the route to find the eggs and answer the questions. Once completed return to the visitor's centre to receive your prize :)

Booking isn't required, turn up and purchase your activity sheet which is £3.

Gruffalo Spotters Trail at Cannock Chase

The navigating challenge at the Cannock Chase forest looks really fun and super affordable. Use your map to find the 12 Gruffalo markers hidden in the deep, dark wood.

Pick up your map from the cafe for £1.50. Why not treat yourself to a well-deserved hot chocolate after :)
