When I tell you this is the best book I have read all year. The Housemaid By Frieda McFadden was the book of the year and everyone I know who has read it has been amazed by the psychological thriller but this book, wow!.
As soon as I heard this book was coming out I knew I had to pick it up, I had purchased it before I even got the Kindle, and if you have read my previous book review, you will know I am trying to get through some of my physical books before I treat myself to kindle unlimited again.
Verity By Colleen Hoover..
Lowen Ashleigh is a struggling writer on the brink of financial ruin when she accepts the job offer of a lifetime. Jeremy Crawford, husband of bestselling author Verity Crawford, has hired Lowen to complete the remaining books in a successful series his injured wife is unable to finish.
Lowen arrives at the Crawford home, ready to sort through years of Verity's notes and outlines, hoping to find enough material to get her started. What Lowen doesn't expect to uncover in the chaotic office is an unfinished autobiography Verity never intended for anyone to read. Page after page of bone-chilling admissions, including Verity's recollection of the night their family was forever altered.
Lowen decides to keep the manuscript hidden from Jeremy, knowing its contents would devastate the already grieving father. But as Lowen's feelings for Jeremy begin to intensify, she recognizes all the ways she could benefit if he were to read his wife's words. After all, no matter how devoted Jeremy is to his injured wife, a truth this horrifying would make it impossible for him to continue loving her . . .
I was not expecting such a big plot twist. I could not put this book down, I read it in one sitting and was absolutely hooked.
Definitely, a thriller where you are checking your curtain or that noise you just heard in the bathroom, I loved it!.
If you've read it already, let me know what you think :)
This book sounds like a real page turner, tempted to add it to my list!
