It's that time of year when we head off to Manchester Christmas Market. Alessia broke up on Thursday so we decided to go together on Friday. If you have more than one child, then you will know the struggle trying to make one one-on-one time with each one, especially if there is a bit of an age gap or they are into completely different things.
Doing things together can be 'boring' for one, so making sure they have their own time with me is very important.
Safe to say she was so excited!. We got Christmas nails done by my eldest daughter ready for the Christmas trip and headed to Manchester.
We had a few things on our list - she now has a part-time weekend job so has her own money which has really given her the boost of confidence and accountability she needs, she is in year 11 now and getting closer to the big world!.
We stopped at Coffee Moose for breakfast, their pancakes are unreal!. I had the Christmas cinnamon drizzle and spiced apple ones and Lessie had the streaky bacon with maple syrup. We couldn't eat them all!. So good, would highly recommend it.
Time to shop!.
We headed to Space N K, Bath and bodywork,s could smell lush so sniffed that out, if you know, you know :)
We literally shopped til we dropped. Got so many steps in and was ready for a break. She left me to do some Xmas shopping for me which she loved and is so excited to give everyone the presents that she had bought herself.
We got back to the station and took a car ride home looking at all the Christmas lights everyone had up in their windows.
Was absolutely exhausted but had the best day!.
Spent the rest of the evening wrapping. I am completely done with wrapping now and work. Let's enjoy the Christmas holidays :)
I've never experienced Manchester during Christmas but I can imagine how gorgeous it would be to spend Christmas there...wow...
ReplyDeleteExcellent. It's nice that you got to have that one on one time. And get your nails done. :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like such a perfect day! Love how you made it so special for her while getting into the Christmas spirit.
