After spending the weekend Visiting Blackpool with the kids in the sunshine, I can honestly say this seaside town is the perfect budget-friendly fun trip away for families. From arcade games to delicious treats, there's something for everyone to enjoy!.
Coral Island – The Heart of Fun!
No trip to Blackpool is complete without a visit to Coral Island, we have been a few times now and love it!. This vibrant arcade is filled with endless entertainment, from rides to classic 2p machines for the little ones. The dance machines were a huge hit too—Alessia and I had the best time showing off our moves, i use the words showing off very lightly, but we laughed so much. Nila was especially lucky, winning tons of tickets and trading them in for some really cool prizes!
Madame Tussauds – Meet the Stars!
Although we didn’t have time to visit Madame Tussauds on this trip, we’ve been before, and it’s definitely a great day out! The wax figures are incredibly lifelike, and it’s so much fun taking photos with famous faces, from celebrities to superheroes. If you're planning a trip to Blackpool, this is one attraction you won’t want to miss!
Sealife Blackpool – An Underwater Adventure
This was our first time visiting Sealife Blackpool, and it did not disappoint! The kids loved seeing all the different marine creatures up close, from graceful rays to spotting Dory and Nemo. If you’re looking to extend the fun, you can also check out the Gruffalo Soft Play right next door for an extra cost—perfect for little ones who need to burn off some extra energy!
The Pier – Classic Seaside Fun
The Blackpool Pier is packed with funfair rides, delicious food, and a lovely view of the sea. We couldn’t resist treating ourselves to chocolate-covered strawberries—they were absolutely delicious! We also discovered the best iced coffee, made with milkshake, which was an absolute game-changer for a warm, sunny day.
Beach Day – Simple & Free!
One of the best things about Blackpool is that you don’t need to spend a fortune to have a great time. We took a lovely walk along the beach, soaking up the sunshine, and it didn’t cost us a penny! If you're heading there with kids, be sure to bring a bucket and spade and spend an afternoon down there :)
Save Money with a Merlin Pass
If you're planning to visit multiple attractions like Sealife, Madame Tussauds, and more, it’s worth considering a Merlin Pass. These passes give you access to several attractions across the UK, including Blackpool’s best spots, saving you some pennies while making the most of your trip. We haven't renewed ours yet, but I think for a family that loves getting out, they are definitely cost effective.
