OUR STAY AT RICHARDSON'S PLATINUM PLUS 2 LODGE WITH HOT TUB | REVIEW

Let me tell you about this absolute GEM of a little UK staycation, Richardson’s Holiday Park. We were booked into their Platinum Plus 2 Lodge with Hot Tub, and honestly, we are already planning when to go back next summer. If you are hunting for a UK family lodge break with a hot tub, just stop right here, this place is definitely it.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

As soon as we pulled up, we could tell we were in for something special. The lodge is set in a secluded corner of the park, which means no awkward eye contact with strangers while you are in your robe heading for the hot tub. Total win.

Walk through the door, and you are greeted by a lovely open-plan layout, kitchen, dining area, and living room all flowing together in one super chill space. It’s bright, airy, and just has that “ooh, this is NICE” vibe.

THE BEDROOMS

The lodge sleeps 4 comfortably. We had a master bedroom with an ensuite (hello, private showers!) and a twin room that’s great if you are bringing kids, friends, or just want more space for your bags and arcade wins.

There is also a family bathroom with a shower over the bath, and the best part, all towels and bed linen are provided. And bonus, the beds are already made up for you when you arrive. No fighting with fitted sheets after a long drive. Bliss.

HOME COMFORTS, BUT BETTER :)

You have got  absolutely everything you need for a comfy stay:

• A 43” Smart TV (yes, it has Netflix – Nila was happy! )

• Superfast FREE WIFI – fast enough for my Zoom meeting and streaming a film in the hot tub

• Dishwasher and washing machine – my mum and I were so excited about these!

• Microwave, fridge, freezer – basically a kitchen that lets you live your best self-catering life

• Central heating – super cosy for cooler evenings

And yep, gas, water, and electricity are all included, so you don’t need to stress about usage.

THE DECK

Now for the real star of the show: the private outdoor hot tub. It's on a spacious deck with a secure gate, so you can fully relax without interruptions and safe for families. There is also garden furniture, so you can sit outside with your morning coffee or evening prosecco.

Nila and I sat outside for breakfast after a little dip in the hot tub, and it was heavenly. Nothing beats a relaxing holiday, rather than needing a holiday after a holiday with kids, right?.

Whether it’s bubbles in your glass or bubbles in the tub, this place brings both. Trust me, there is nothing quite like soaking in warm water under the stars after a chill day.

If you are wondering, should you book it? 100 yes!!. We left feeling refreshed, recharged, and only slightly wrinkly from all the hot tub time :)
