I have been waiting for this day for such a long time. Honestly, there were moments when I wasn’t sure it would ever happen. I don’t even want to think about the amount of money that’s gone into lessons and tests (this definitely wasn’t my first rodeo ), but I have finally done it… I passed my driving test!
We have had quite a few home days so far this summer holiday. The weather hasn’t been great, lots of rainy days, movie afternoons, and indoor play. Today the sun has finally made an appearance, so we decided to make the most of it with a little girls' retail therapy and a cinema date!
Summer just wouldn’t be complete without a trip to the zoo. The girls absolutely love it, and it is always such a lovely, long day out. One of our go-to spots when we visit my mum in Norfolk is Thrigby Wildlife Gardens in Filby, and if you haven’t been yet, pop it on your must-visit list!
I honestly can not believe Alessia is 16. It feels like just yesterday she was obsessed with Shopkins and would sit for hours playing Tomodachi Life on her Nintendo DS. Time really does go by so fast. She has finished school now, done her GCSEs and is getting ready for college life. Such a big new chapter in her life. I can’t even explain how proud I am of her.
Another craft session this summer, and Nila has got herself stuck right into making this really cool Magic Bubble Slime from Baker Ross. We have done a lot of slime over the years, glitter slime, fluffy slime, even glow-in-the-dark, but we have never come across bubble slime before, and this one was a solid 10/10.
