HOW TO GET YOUR CHILD TO SLEEP IN THEIR OWN ROOM WITH A SIMPLE BEDTIME ROUTINE

One of the things I love most about motherhood is how close I am with my children. I’ve created that safe little bubble where they come to me with everything, problems, milestones, playground gossip, the tiniest, most random thoughts. I am always the first person they want to tell, and honestly, that warms my heart more than anything.

 My last baby has turned 8, and I really don’t know how I feel about it. If you are a regular reader and have followed me on social media for the past 8 years, then you will know Nila and I have had such a close relationship and have done so from birth. 

HOW TO HELP YOUR CHILDREN STAY IN THEIR OWN BEDS AT NIGHT

 I have written and spoken about our trials and tribulations when it comes to Nila and sleeping in her own bed. Our co - sleeping journey over the years has been amazing and I have loved every minute of it but now she is getting older and wants sleepovers, getting her into a routine of being in her own bed every night  has been a little difficult.

 How is my youngest little bug six already?. They grow up so quick, it’s definitely a cliche isn’t it but honestly, where have the past six years gone.

TRANSITIONING FROM CO-SLEEPING TO A COT

I am sitting in bed with a cup of tea and watching my last baby sleep peacefully in her cot like a big girl. I can’t actually believe She is in her cot , for more than a few days and although I miss co-sleeping with her , we both really needed the change to happen , and to happen permanently.

If you are a regular reader then you will know that I shared our co - sleeping story a few weeks back and I had decided that when we moved , which we have :)  that I would be transferring Nila into a cot and trying to get a little bit more of a routine with bedtimes.

It seems very odd me writing about co-sleeping as I never in a million years thought I would be a co-sleeping parent . My older two girls both went into cots and had a bedtime routine , as the typical book suggests. So to be writing about co-sleeping is definitely something new to me and honestly, I am absolutely loving it .
