Birthday prepartion is always my favourite, but finding the perfect gift for children can be a bit of a challenge, putting it lightly :). I love asking the girls what they want for their birthday and being handed a little list of the most random bits they have their heart set on is so cute.
The sun is shining and I am here for it. I work from home and nothing hits better than a day at work sitting in the garden with an iced coffee, it sets me up for such a good mental health day and I am so glad we have got the garden summer-ready this week.

Nothing beats a refreshing slushie on a hot day,ask my children!.All three of my girls have loved slushies during the summer and they are currently Nila's obsession.We picked up some really cool slushie cups at our local wacky recently and taking them back makes the slushie cheaper, but homemade slushies cost next to nothing!.
I have never been more disappointed in a book in my life, what an absolute letdown. Freida McFadden is currently one of my favourite authors. I have read a few of her books including the latest craze of The Housemaid and The Housemaid's Secret, I think the whole of the UK has been eager for the third of the trilogy to come out.
After reading thrillers for the past few months, my last read was The Woman Who Lied by Claire Douglas, I felt like I was getting a little uninspired by the books and the storylines, I definitely think it was down to reading the same genre for a while so I decided to switch it up with Cat Lady - the crazy cat lady story that everyone is talking about.
Do you ever walk into lush with the intention of not buying anything and come out £80 lighter? or is that just me :). Whenever we go into town or have a girl's day, I always have to pop into the lush store. There is something about the aroma, it just brings me all them happy dopamines and it's lovely to have a natter with the staff too.
