A pack of cards can sit in a drawer for months because nobody can remember quite how the game went. Was it three cards from the pile, or one? Could a queen go into that empty space? Solitaire is a lovely game to return to, but a few half-remembered rules can make the first attempt more awkward than it needs to be.
One thing I am not saying no to is a night away in a gorgeous hotel. Add a huge comfy bed, a coffee machine in the room and breakfast the next morning, and honestly, I am SOLD. We recently stayed at the Forest of Arden Hotel near Birmingham for a little night away, and it was such a gorgeous stay.

The races are something I have never really been interested in. Everyone has their thing, right? And horse racing wasn’t really mine until I spotted that Great Yarmouth Racecourse were hosting an evening of racing followed by Songbird, a Fleetwood Mac tribute, and that definitely got me excited!
A week at my mum’s always ends up with a day out in Hemsby. It’s one of the girls’ favourite places for the arcades, the beach and a game of crazy golf at Lost World Adventure Golf.
