MY TIPS AND TRICKS FOR BARGAIN SHOPPING FOR THE GIRLS

When it comes to kids we all know how expensive they can be - especially if you have more than one!. It seems never ending doesn’t it - school uniforms , birthdays , Easter. I am sure every month of the year there is something that needs to be bought for !.

OUR SUMMER HOLIDAY IN PRESTATYN

We are back home now from our summer holiday and we had the best time!. The weather was on our side for most of the week and we  enjoyed every minute of it - swimming, arcades, the beach/ we really made the most of it and I managed to capture most of it on camera :)

NO MORE BABIES

I’m writing this on my phone whilst laying with my little Nila bug. How are you 2 already. No more baby, a fully fledged toddler with so much sass, and the cutest little comedian you ever did see!.

BACK TO SCHOOL PREPPING ESSENTIALS

I am sure I am not the only one that thinks these summer holidays have gone way to fast!, to fast for my liking!. The new school year is just around the corner and I’ve been getting my prep on to make life a little easier.

PRESTATYN BEACH

One place the girls and I absolutely love is the beach. Doesn’t matter where or how sandy it is , just being by the sea is one of our happy places .

BAKING MADE EASY WITH TRAGO

When it comes to being in the kitchen , I think everyone knows I love to bake . The girls and Scott are always looking around for something to eat - rocky road , homemade Banana bread, you name it , we have made it .

I have always loved baking and there is nothing better than coming home from the school run to fresh baked cookies or cupcakes with a nice cup of tea before the mayhem of the evening commences :)

The children also love to get involved on the weekends and I think it’s a great activity to do with them and gets them learning at the same time .

One thing I’ll admit to ,and hold my hands up and say I do , and I am sure a lot of you will agree too! , is not your oven temperature is correct for the type of cake tin or loaf tin you are actually using.Am I right?.

We find a nice Victorian sponge recipe , in the oven it goes  , case mark 5 or 180c for 40 minutes and it’s done. What it hasn’t told us is what size tin they have used.

There has been so many times when I have checked on a cake and thought what is going on , or tried to turn up the heat to get it to cook quicker :)

Trago have found  this really cool guide when it comes to getting your bake on in the kitchen.

No more soggy middles or un even layered birthday cakes. They have all kinds of cake tin and loaf measurements and cooking time required here .

Trago also sell all your baking essentials too!. So if you are on the look out for some new cake tins or perhaps want to have a go and piping - one of my favourite things to do! - then head on over as they literally sell everything you need to make the perfect cake and more .

I’d love to hear if you have used these guide lines and let me know how scrumptious your cake turned out too! :)

A MORNING OF CRAFTS & ARCADES AT RHYL

We’ve had a busy day and it’s been absolutely lovely . We decided we were going to head into Rhyl today and spend the afternoon there in the arcades after our Arts & Crafts morning at the club.

BATH FUN WITH JOHNSONS

All three of the girls have loved bath time. From newborn they have all been water babies and honestly it can be a struggle sometimes getting them out ! :)

When it comes to bath time and the products we use , I try and make sure we get the most gentlest brands as all three of the girls suffer with eczema , and as they’ve got older it doesn’t get any easier when it comes to finding products that are suitable so we stick to what we know.

Eczema reactions can be brought on by products not used on the skin for example shampoo- which a lot of people don’t seem to realise . Obviously the shampoo is being rinsed off and therefore your little ones are sitting in that water.

It’s a thing to look pass and we didn’t realise this might be a cause until I had a little look on google- google can be a godsend sometimes can’t it :)

Anyway Johnston’s have been a brand we’ve used in our house for over 16 years now , and still use with little Nila who is now 2 and we have had no flare ups at all.

Johnson’s choose high quality ingredients for their products and have actually rejected over 400 ingredients that don’t meet their Best for baby standards :).

We were kindly sent a set of the no more tangles hair range, and a gorgeous bubble bath for good measures,  and it is a big thumbs up for us. It smells absolutely divine for starters - I am a sucker for a nice smell!. They are paraben, sulphate and dye free and also proven to unlock 75% more knots and tangles.

We put that theory to the test as Alessia’s hair is an absolute nightmare after the bath. We have tears and tantrums galore. The shampoo was really gentle on the scalp and the conditioner left her hair feeling really soft.

No tears! :)

We also used the detangling spray which has been a new step after hair washing as this helps keep the hair knot free for the morning . I have even used it in my hair and it really is a lovely treat .

Happy girls all round and an even happier mama!

-We were sent these products in exchange for an honest review

SLOW DAYS

Sometimes we are so worried about having the ‘perfect’ day and spending a fortune on the best day out that we seem to look pass the simple small things that can make one of the best days.

NILA AT 2

And we a blink of an eye Nila is already 2. The years seem to go so quick don’t they?, I’m sure they go even quicker after you’ve had one or two children. I am sure of it!. 2 years and 2 months has absolutely flown by.

CINEMA MORNING & SLIME MAKING

I said to the girls we would go out together on their own over the summer holidays. Nothing extravagant, just have some one on one time as it’s really hard sometimes with three children.

CHEESEBURGER PASTA

Yes you read that right , cheeseburger pasta!. Now I know why most of you will be thinking , what? , but honestly this is a favourite in our house and we have it once a week.

MY SUMMER MUST HAVES

The summer holidays are in full swing and we are loving it . We’ve been on some lovely day outs and trips to the park and it got me thinking about our summer must haves.

FIRST DAY BACK AT WORK

If you are following me over on Instagram then you will already know that today was my first day back at work, and if you are not following  me , then why the heck not? :)

FAMILY FUN DAY - BURSLEM PARK

We have just got in and the rain has begun! To late rain! We’ve been out all afternoon in the sunshine- you was too late :)
